02 / The kennel
Ink on paper. The only tier that can be merged.
Navy screen, wider wardrobe. Merges add more.
Violet screen. Fixed at forty for good.
Four dogs, each wearing the crown.
Tier sizes are fixed at deployment: 4,000 / 400 / 40 / 4. Nobody, including the team, picks which dog lands where.
Rarity sealed until the revealSupply can only shrink
Four Commons burn, one Rare is minted: three fewer dogs each time.
1,444 is the floor if all 4,000 Commons merge. Nobody has to.
1,400 Rare + 40 Epic + 4 Legendary
With every possible merge done.
The arithmetic of a merge
4,000 genesis Commons ÷ 4 = 1,000 merges at most, each one making a new Rare.
Count in the dogs that start above Common (400 Rare, 40 Epic, 4 Legendary) and a fully merged kennel would hold 1,444 dogs.
That is a floor, not a forecast. Merging is optional, so the real count lands wherever holders take it.
How rarity is decided
Before the first mint, the deployer writes only the hash of a secret seed into the kennel. That seed cannot change afterwards.
Every mint mixes the minter's address, the block and the running count into the contract's entropy, so the final mix depends on people nobody knew in advance.
When the mint ends, the seed is published and a keyed shuffle places every genesis id exactly once: the first 4 positions are Legendary, the next 40 Epic, the next 400 Rare. If the seed holder stays silent for seven days, anyone can finish the reveal without it.
Draw a dog
Same drawing rules as the contract, run in your browser with an example seed.
Example only. This uses a fixed example seed so you can see how ids, tiers and traits behave. The real seed is set by the reveal after the mint closes, so dog #404 will most likely look different then.
